Hunter NODE-100 Battery Sprinkler Controller
Battery-powered sprinkler controller with app control for effortless scheduling without wiring.
Hunter has been making irrigation gear for professionals since 1981. The NODE-100 solves a specific problem: getting water to spots where AC power isn’t available. That includes remote garden beds, new zones added after the original install, or retrofitting into tight valve boxes. It ships with a pre-installed 1-inch PGV-101G valve and a DC latching solenoid, which means you don’t have to source or match parts on site. The install is straightforward if you can connect a hose thread.
The controller runs on a single 9-volt battery. That battery powers the LED display and the valve actuation for an entire season in most cases. The IP68 rating is the headline here: this unit is fully submersible up to 12 feet. You can bury it, mount it in a wet box, or leave it exposed to rain and sprinkler overspray without concern. The LED interface is basic but readable, and programming is simple enough to do without a manual.
One honest limitation: this is a single-zone controller. If you need to manage multiple areas independently, you’ll need multiple NODE units. For a single drip line, a remote bed, or a spot that needs its own schedule, it’s a reliable, no-wire solution that does exactly what it promises.
