JBL’s Bar 1300X is a complete home theater system in a box. Its defining trick is a pair of battery-powered, wireless surround speakers that detach from the main soundbar. This means you get a true 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos setup without running a single wire to the back of your room.

The sound is massive and convincingly three-dimensional. Six up-firing drivers bounce audio off your ceiling to create overhead effects, while the dedicated subwoofer handles the low end with serious authority. When detached, the rear speakers provide several hours of playback, and they automatically reconnect to the main unit when you dock them for charging. You can also pair them via Bluetooth for a portable stereo system elsewhere.
