The loading and gain options cover virtually any cartridge you might own, from high-output moving magnet to low-output moving coil. You get precise control over capacitance and resistance, so you can dial in the exact sound your cartridge is designed to deliver. Polystyrene capacitors handle the RIAA equalization with accuracy, preserving the original frequency balance of your records. The metal chassis is small at just over a third of an inch on each side, but it’s dense enough to block interference from nearby components.

The noise floor is genuinely low. You can play quiet passages without hearing a background hum or hiss. The 18-volt DC supply gives it enough headroom to stay clean even with demanding vinyl pressings.
