Sonos has spent years refining how bass fits into a home. The Sub Mini is the clearest example yet. It’s a compact cylinder designed to pair specifically with the Beam, Ray, or One speakers. No rattling. No buzz. Just tight, controlled low-end that fills a room without overwhelming it.

Setup takes about five minutes through the Sonos app. The subwoofer connects wirelessly, so you can place it anywhere—behind a couch, next a bookshelf, or standing vertically in a corner. At roughly 12 inches tall and weighing 14 pounds, it’s easy to move around. The polycarbonate shell feels solid and resists scuffs. It supports Dolby Atmos content when paired with a compatible soundbar, and the bass boost feature lets you dial in extra punch for action movies or bass-heavy playlists.

One honest note: this is a dedicated subwoofer for Sonos systems only. It won’t work with third-party speakers or older Sonos hardware. If you already own a Beam or Ray, the Sub Mini delivers a noticeable upgrade for TV and music without the footprint or cost of the full-size Sub. For smaller to medium rooms, it’s more than enough.
