Shelly Europe builds components that make smart homes less reliant on phones. The Blu Button Tough is a small, battery-powered button that sticks anywhere and triggers actions with a press. Double-click, triple-click, or hold it down to execute up to four different commands. It frees you from unlocking your phone to turn off lights or close the blinds.

The button is plastic but feels solid in hand. It uses a single CR2032 battery, which is included and should last months under normal use. The Mocha color is understated and blends into a living room or hallway. You need a Shelly gateway or a compatible Shelly Plus, Pro, or Gen3 device to connect it to the Shelly Smart Control app. Without that hub, the button is just a button.

One honest limitation: this is a one-way switch. It sends commands but doesn’t confirm if the action happened. If your smart lock fails to engage, the button won’t tell you. For simple toggles like a lamp or a scene, it works reliably. For critical tasks, pair it with a system that provides feedback elsewhere.
