The enclosure is fully waterproof and weather-sealed. It runs on two 9-volt batteries, which Hunter claims last an entire season with normal use. You set schedules through the free app—up to four start times per day, with run times from one minute to six hours. The app remembers your settings even when you’re out of Bluetooth range. That matters for remote sites like greenhouses, community gardens, or that patch of lawn behind the garage.

One honest limitation: it controls only one zone. If you need multiple stations, you buy multiple units. The plastic housing feels rugged, but the battery door requires a firm press to seal correctly. For a single-valve setup where running wire is impractical, this is the most straightforward solution available. It works. It stays dry. It waters on schedule.
