Pro-Ject T1 EVO BT Turntable with Bluetooth
A Bluetooth turntable that delivers audiophile-grade sound without sacrificing wireless convenience.
Pro-Ject has been making serious turntables for decades, and the T1 EVO BT is their cleanest solution for combining vinyl with modern listening habits. The key trick here is Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, which streams your records wirelessly without the usual compression that kills detail. But they didn’t cut corners to add it. The platter is heavy glass, not cheap plastic. The tonearm is a single piece of aluminum, CNC-machined to avoid hollow resonance. This is a real turntable that happens to have Bluetooth, not a toy.
In daily use, the electronic speed change is a small but significant convenience. You press a button to switch between 33 and 45 RPM instead of lifting the platter and moving a belt. The included Ortofon OM10 cartridge is pre-adjusted at the factory, so you can plug it in and play without fiddling with alignment. The internal preamp is switchable, meaning you can use it with powered speakers or bypass it for a dedicated phono stage. The low-capacitance RCA cable is a thoughtful inclusion — it preserves the signal quality that cheaper cables degrade.
One honest note: the felt mat is basic, and you may want to upgrade to a rubber or acrylic mat for better grip and reduced static. The dust cover is included but feels light. For the price, the build is solid, but the plastic housing on the cartridge is the only obvious cost-saving. If you want a fuss-free entry into vinyl with the flexibility of wireless output, this is the one.
