Concept2 SkiErg SkiErg Only
The Concept2 SkiErg delivers a brutally effective, low-impact full-body workout that mimics cross-country skiing better than any other machine.
The Concept2 SkiErg doesn’t simulate skiing—it replicates the exact mechanics of double-poling on snow. That means your arms, shoulders, and core do all the work, while your legs stay planted. It’s a pure upper-body and core conditioning tool, built for athletes who want targeted power output without the joint impact of running or rowing.
The resistance comes from a flywheel and air brake, the same system Concept2 uses in their rowing machines. You get ten levels of damper control, but the actual effort scales with how hard you pull—500 RPM is the max, and you’ll feel every revolution in your lats and obliques. The strapless ergonomic handles let you grip naturally, so you focus on form, not fighting straps. Performance tracking is handled by the PM5 monitor, which shows pace, calories, and heart rate data with the same reliability as their rowers.
Setup is straightforward: mount it to a wall or use the floor stand (sold separately). It requires two D batteries, included. Maintenance is minimal—wipe the rail and check the chain occasionally. The main limitation is that it’s a single-purpose machine. If you want a full-body workout, you’ll need to pair it with something for your legs. But for building explosive upper-body endurance, it’s hard to beat.
