Shark’s PowerDetect 2-in-1 aims to make robot vacuum ownership truly hands-off. The “NeverTouch Pro” base is the key. After each cleaning cycle, the robot returns to empty its dustbin, refill its water tank, and wash and dry its mopping pad. This means you can ignore the whole system for up to a month.

The vacuum itself uses PowerDetect navigation to identify dirtier areas and apply more suction. It handles carpets and hard floors without you having to swap pads manually. The self-cleaning cycle scrubs the mopping pad with water, then dries it to prevent odors and bacteria buildup. Two included odor-neutralizer cartridges help keep the base station from smelling like a damp rag.

The trade-off is size. The NeverTouch Pro base is large and needs dedicated floor space. You also have to keep the dock’s water tank filled and the cleaning solution topped off. But if your goal is a vacuum that requires almost zero attention between monthly maintenance, this is one of the most complete systems available.
