It installs directly onto your main 3/4-inch water line. Inside, an ultrasonic meter tracks flow in real-time, sending data to the required YoLink Hub. You set normal usage patterns in the app. If it detects a persistent trickle or a sudden surge, it can automatically trigger the built-in motorized valve to shut off the water entirely. The claimed 10-year battery life means you install it and largely forget it, which is the point.
