The matte black aluminum build feels substantial and looks integrated, not like a tech gadget bolted onto your door.

Unlocking with a registered fingerprint is fast, taking about a second. The backlit keypad is clear in low light, and the auto-lock feature provides peace of mind by securing the deadbolt 30 seconds after the door closes. For full smart home features like remote access and voice control, you’ll need to add the separate Veise G1 WiFi Gateway. The app handles access codes and checks an event log, which is useful for tracking comings and goings.

Installation is straightforward if your door is prepared for a standard deadbolt. The emergency power port is a smart touch, letting you jump-start the lock with a 9V battery if the internal AA batteries ever die. While the voice prompts are helpful, they are only available in three preset languages.
